With a degree in biology and more than 30 years experience observing and living with wildlife as well as deepening, refining and perfecting his naturalisation techniques. D'Amours recreates the spark of life with perspicacity. Far from the simple portrait , his pieces show subjects in action , sometimes in breathtaking movements, uncommon attitudes and striking expression and this, in a realistic and poetic environment. The artist gives such a grace, power and expression to his sculptures that the true moment becomes man face-to-face with the greatness and nobility of nature , as we rediscover it, through the vision and emotions of D'Amours.
